June 2008 Recap

Kim and Anna's Wedding

It was nice to see old friends, to reminisce on good times, and to celebrate a beginning of something great.

Kim and Anna committed to live the rest of their lives together on June 7 in Tagaytay.

We are of that age already, some are dealing with quarter life crisis, some are getting hitched, some are making plans for the future, and some are going after what they really want in life.

Now the question is, which one am I? And which one are you?

Avenue Q

Good theater, good friends, good times.

I watched Avenue Q's second run (without Rachel Alejandro) with Jam and Len. Of course we were there to support our good friend Felix, who played Princeton. It was a very entertaining musical, my friends and i were laughing most of the time, and I picked up a few things from Avenue Q:

"It sucks to be me" - Yep, it sucks to be me, I'm guessing that you are saying to to yourself right now that "nah, it sucks to be ME." Thinking this through, we all have a side of our lives (past, present, and future) that we are not proud of or that brings us to misery. An important thing to realize is that life hasn't been unfair to just you alone but to all of us, so consuelo de bobo is that we are all on the same boat of suffering from the unfair hand life has dealt us, haha!

"Everything in life is only for now" - Sorrow, sadness, and bitterness is only for now - a temporary state we get into, but unfortunately happiness, joy, and pleasure are also temporary. So if you're discontent now, you can always look forward to better things, knowing that being discontent is only for now. On the other side of the coin, if you are happy, you should share it, live it, and make memories of it knowing that your happiness is only for now. So sit back, relax and experience the ride called life, because we only get to live once.

July is nearing so here's what I am setting myself out to do:

  1. Finish reading a personal finance book - 'The Money book for the Young Fabulous and Broke' by Suze Orman,

  2. Get rid of all the junk in the middle of my room.

  3. Do volunteer work for my Parish.

  4. Renew my passport.

Bragging Rights

My brother for most of our lives has always been bigger and heavier than me. and now he is lighter by 5lbs! and the sad part of this is that my pride cant take it!! *sob* now he has the license to brag that he is lighter than me. I can imagine him now using his bragging rights to tell his friends that he is now lighter than me in one of his casual conversations with his friends.

I must do something about it!!!

Time to get serious about weight loss!!

Talk about petty motivation, haha!!

I'm back

Well May's been tough, but its June 2 now and I'm still alive. I can only hope for better things in store for me in the coming months, because when your down the only way to go is up!!

What to look forward to

Being a planner I've cooked up somethings to keep me busy in the coming months, I followed the advice of Trent over at The Simple Dollar to dabble into a bit of everything to find out what I'm really passionate about, I'm thinking of immersing myself in writing/ blogging, photography, sports (getting in healthy shape - in the general sense), reading/ research, cooking, programming, personal finance, mechanics/ carpentry, event organization, volunteer work, etc. and I hope to blog about these things in the future.
Right now I'm enjoying reading, writing and photography, and if i find myself burned out/ bored because of these, I plan to turn to the other things on my list, hehe!!
Hopefully I'll discover my true passion in the near future so I'll be able to enjoy it for more years, rather than finding out what I'm really passionate about late in my lifetime.

What's new with my blogs

I've been coming up with some new posts lately and will be taking advantage of the scheduled posting ability of blogger to be able publish my posts in regular succession (so even if I'm out you guys will get to read a new post, hehe) and some ideas for regular posts in my blogs.
