Productivity freak or just a lazy bum

Am I a productivity freak or just a lazy bum? Lets figure this out below..

I answered this question a few months ago while I was setting up the office printer. When I started this job a couple of months ago, I noticed that our division uses a networked heavy duty laser printer that has 2 paper trays. And before that other day, the whole division would just use tray 1, we would walk to the printer, load it with the needed paper, walk back to our PC, press print, then walk back to get the print outs then walk back to our desks...this, folks is a pitiful example of office exercise and my fat cells deserve to be burned in a more dignifying manner hehe!

The lazy bug

Then a few months ago the lazy bug bit me and I said to myself "I am tired of getting up from my desk and taking 10 steps to the printer to load the proper paper and take 10 steps back to my desk to press CTRL+P then ENTER on my keyboard, then take 10 steps back to the printer to get my printouts and then take 10 steps back to my desk to continue working!" So I set up the 2nd tray of the printer and loaded it with long bond paper (which I usually use to print out my spreadsheets) and now I (and the rest of my division) just have to take one round trip to the printer and back :)

Making your laziness (and technology) work for you

I have always been lazy and it shows with my size...I mean stature hehe.. so in the facade of my 'productive-self' my 'lazy-self' has always sought ways to make work easier for me to do.

I guess the upside of laziness is that it pushes us towards innovation with the use of technology.

I dream of the day that i can "work-by-thought" Meaning, when i think of a sentence it gets typed for me on my word processor without the need for me to raise my fingers, or something like that. Haha!!

I guess to the answer the question above, I am just a lazy bum, hehe!!
