JULY 2008 Recap
Wow! Its been 7 months since my shakedown and I'm still standing and sane (or should i say, inXane!) and I don't know if I'll be happy that I haven't done anything stupid yet (at least I think so!) but what I do know is that its been a struggle.
Everyone has their own battle and this is my battle and I'm not going to give up just yet. Just like Po (from Kung Fu Panda), Doug & Jimmy (from Fight Quest) and Jake (from Never Back Down), they faced their own battles/ challenges and never gave up. Also, facing these challenges with friends like the Mochees always makes things seem easier.
Mochees get together
The Mochees got together to celebrate Tono's Bday at his house. Ate good food, played props and laughed. I hope we would be able to do this again soon.

Kungfu Panda
A really nice movie with a great story and a lot of morals to pick up. Scouring the web, I came across this post that lists some quotes that have a lot of meaning behind them. Here's my favorite "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called present." - Ooguay. This is just points to living in the now, Carpe Diem! The writer of the post, Evelyn Lin, added that it is necessary to "let go of our past, doubts and fears, if we want to be happy."
Update on my 'To Dos' from my June post:
I've finished reading Suze Orman's the Money book for the young fabulous & broke and I am already drafting a post to share with you the interesting stuff i picked up.
I partially accomplished fixing my room. I find it particularly vexing that after I clear an area in my room I find myself filling it up again with stuff. Then I clear the area again and the cycle continues. Maybe I should really devote one whole day into fixing my room and try to finish clearing the mess in one go.
No go on volunteering for our parish. Unfortunately I wasn't able to visit our parish's office to check if there were any activities I can volunteer for. My weekends have also been kinda full, running errands for the house. Maybe I'll try to visit the parish office next month (September).
To do:
Read Getting Things Done by David Allen
Touch base with a good friend I haven't seen in a long time
Lesson learned for July:
"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called present." - Ooguay
